Oh Dear Scrunchie

About the Pattern
The scrunchie is knitted back and forth in garter stitch and sewn together with a hair tie inside. It's one size, but it can be made bigger either by knitting more rows or by choosing a looser gauge/bigger needles. How it fits depends a lot on how big and how elastic your chosen hair tie is. You can decide if the scrunchie should be used more as a decorative piece by choosing a small and fairly stretchy hair tie to just go around your hair once or you can use a more regular hair tie so the scrunchie can be wrapped twice for a better hold.
 
Measurements
Diameter (depends on your chosen hair tie): ~13-15cm
Width from center to edge: ~5cm 

Materials
1 skein of Teddy Dear by Gepard Garn (75m/50g). Usage ~18g, not including swatch  
1 set of 5.5mm 60cm circular needles 
1 hair tie or elastic band to make your own hair tie 
1 tapestry needle  
1 pair of scissors
 
Gauge 
I used 5.5mm needles to get a gauge of 13.5 sts. x 27 rows = 10cm x 10cm in garter stitch.
